Privacy policy
makebase.app has no accounts, no ads, and no cookies. This page lists everything we do collect, and why.

In short
- Browsing the gallery sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
- We never store your IP address. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, sees it to deliver the site, as any web host does.
- When you click a remix button, we record which app and which builder, the page you came from, your country, and the time. Nothing that identifies you.
- If you submit an app or send a message, we keep what you typed, including your email address, so we can reply.
- We don't sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it to profile you.

If your app is listed, your handle, your app, and its source link are shown publicly on its page. Your email address is never shown.
Services that process data for us
- Cloudflare hosts the site, the database, and the live previews, and protects them from abuse. Like any host, it processes your IP address and browser details to serve each request. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views and performance without cookies. Cloudflare states that it "does not collect or use your visitors' personal data" and does not track individual visitors across websites.
- Cloudflare Turnstile runs only on the submit and contact forms to stop spam bots. It processes signals such as your IP address and browser type, solely to tell people from bots. See the Turnstile privacy addendum.
- Team notifications. When a submission or message arrives we may post a short alert to a private team chat. A submission alert contains the app and repository links, builder, and handle. A message alert contains only its topic. Email addresses and message text are not included.
- Automated review. We may use automated tools, including AI models, to check a submitted public repository, for example its license and whether it builds.
Fonts are served from makebase.app itself, so your browser makes no requests to Google or other font services.
When you leave makebase
Remix buttons send you to another service, such as Bolt, Replit, Claude, or GitHub. Links carry a utm_source=makebase tag so that service knows where you came from. From then on, that service's privacy policy applies.
Live previews
Previews run on a separate domain inside a locked sandbox. They can't read anything from makebase.app or your browser, and they can't send data to outside servers. They are still other people's code, so don't type real passwords or personal information into a preview.
How long we keep it
- Remix counts contain no personal data and are kept to show trends over time.
- Submissions and messages are kept until they're resolved and for as long as you'd reasonably expect a follow-up. For a listed app, we keep the record of your permission to list it for as long as it's listed. Ask us and we'll delete the rest.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you, or to take down a listing. Use the contact form and choose "Privacy request". We reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
makebase.app is not aimed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, we update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
